Les Colchiques is a superbly designed chalet situated a mere 20m from the slopes in the charming resort of Montchavin, with breathtaking views overlooking the spectacular Mont Blanc Massif - every room has a wonderful view!!

The chalet sleeps 12* people in 5 bedrooms all with private bathrooms - 3 double/twin rooms all looking towards Mont Blanc, two of which have panoramic floor to ceiling windows, and two larger triple rooms, one with a private terrace area and the other a south facing balcony.

The large spacious lounge has a stone feature fireplace with large picture doors which open on to the balcony, where you can sit and watch the sun set over Mont Blanc, while the dining room opens onto a large south facing terrace.

There is underfloor heating which ensures your comfort and each room also has its own individual heating.

There is also a purpose built boot / drying room where you can leave your ski gear and boots to dry.

This is an ideal chalet for several families holidaying together, however all rooms are also available for individual booking.

Montchavin is considered by many to be the most beautiful resort in the domain, if not in France.
Montchavin itself is a charming resort with a variety of shops, bars, restaurants and a night club in a traffic free centre. It is a village with the convenience of being a tourist facility entirely dedicated to winter sports.
It is also now at the centre of one of the world’s largest ski areas, which was created in 2003 by joining the resorts of La Plagne, Peisey-Vallandry and Les Arcs, with the new superfast Vanoise Express, the world’s largest cable car.
This has created a ski domain with 425 kms of runs of incredible diversity, offering more than enough variety for all abilities of skiers from the complete beginner to the very experienced. A 17km long off piste route will also take you all the way back to Montchavin from the Bellecote glacier.
There are also 30kms of runs in the Montchavin ski area itself with the treelined ruins back down the mountain also dependable due to the extensive snow cannon arrangement.
Snowboarders also are served exceptionally well with 3 boardercross, 4 snow parks ( one in the Montchavin domain itself) 1 boarder gliss and 1 moduls zone.
Should you wish to partake in cross country skiing, 153kms of the most beautiful terrain should keep you busy.

We believe quality and quantity are essential aspects of the food you want at the start and end of a hard day on the slopes.

Our catered chalet includes breakfast, afternoon tea and a three course evening meal with unlimited wine. There is also a champagne reception on your first evening to welcome you to your home from home for the next week.

A plentiful and healthy breakfast is provided each morning, with cereals, fresh croissants and pastries, yoghurts, fruit juice, and a hot choice each day with freshly brewed coffee or tea. When you return from the slopes there will be fresh home made cake, or muffins and biscuits, with more fresh bread and jam with coffee and tea.

The evening meals are delicious and satisfyingly filling, with a variation between the more traditional French meals, tasty Mediterranean dishes and British home cooking, together with some traditional Savoyarde dishes of the region. They are all accompanied by your choice of quality red or white wine, in as much quantity as you care to drink.

We also provide a nutritious high tea (organic as far as possible) for children which will be served at 6pm in the evening. This allows you to put them bed replete and sit down and enjoy your own relaxing evening meal, ‘sans enfants’.

Your chalet staff take one afternoon and evening off when we will be more than happy to recommend and book a range of excellent local restaurants for you to try.
