Owner-run chalet in an ideal location in the massive 'Portes du Soleil' ski area. This purpose-built ski chalet is close to Morzine, Avoriaz and Les Gets, an easy walk to the village resort centre of St. Jean d'Aulps and only just over 1 hour from Geneva in the French Alps.

All our comfortable bedrooms have sufficient wardrobe space and ensuite facilities (inc. hairdryers and towels):
1 twin/double, 1 three-bedded (bunk set single), 2 family rooms (double single) and the family suite (double room connecting bunk-bed room) accommodate up to 15 guests - with underfloor heating throughout, please don't forget to bring your slippers.

We believe the quality of food on any holiday is essential to its overall success. The quantity on a skiing holiday is another concern. At Chalet Shufu we take great care to ensure you'll NOT be disappointed in any way.

Breakfast - cereals/porridge, yoghurts, fruit, croissants, baguettes, butter, spreads, ham, cheese, orange juice, and hot chocolate/tea/coffee.

Afternoon Tea (or alternatively Bar Snacks) - laid out for your return from the slopes. Our home-made biscuits or cakes will keep you going till dinner.

Dinner - a varied 3 courses with 'free' flowing wines, coffee and chocolates to finish. Flavoursome dishes guaranteed to excite! as well as traditional home-cooking - (perhaps the reason guests return year after year).

Children are able to eat at an earlier sitting around 5-6pm.

NB: one evening a week you are able to eat out at a restaurant in the village, of which St. Jean d'Aulps boasts "the best in the valley"!

Our Bar has reasonable prices. Note what you have and settle up at the end of your stay.

Tea/coffee/chocolate making facilities are freely available at all times.

The Portes du Soleil has an excellent snow record with lots of everything for everyone; from the very gentlest of beginners runs (just 5 minutes from the chalet here in St Jean d'Aulps) to world cup downhill courses and the infamous 'Wall' in Les Crosets.

In addition to the 650km of piste, there are board parks, half-pipes, plenty of off-piste and numerous bars/restaurants to keep you going!

An English-speaking Instructor visits the chalet on your arrival evening to discuss lessons whenever necessary.

Every morning our minibus sets out to whichever lift you'd like to start from and picks you up again at either a pre-arranged time or upon a call from your mobile.

Then it's back to the chalet; warmth - drinks - comfort - conviviality and fabulous food!

CHILD / BABY CARE
There is an excellent new creche run by the ESF just 5 minutes from Chalet Shufu! Available for children from 3-10 years old, a team of carers arrange both indoor and outdoor activites in addition to ski lessons. We are able to make bookings on your behalf for mornings, afternoons or full days.
