Haus Skiblick is purpose built alpine chalet in the quaint hamlet of Russbach in the Dachstein West Ski area of Salzburg. We have combined contempory and traditional design to provide high quality living accommodation. The chalet is currently under construction and has a guaranteed completion date of 7 December 2007. The focus of the design is on light and space.

As the designs show the house is spilt level with a large open plan kitchen and dining area on the ground floor and large living room with wood burning fire on the upper level. The huge windows at the front of the house provide lots of light and ,combined with the vaulted ceiling, a feeling of space. The semi cylindrical feature window at the side of the house adds to this feeling.

There are four double bedrooms and two family bathrooms. Sleeping capacity can go up to 10 people with the use of a sofa bed in the kitchen area.

The ski room provides ample room for boots, ski’s and equipment.

The in-house sauna provides the perfect relaxation after a full day on the slopes. What better way to end the day than curling up in front of the log fire!

Top quality furnishings and Persian rugs add to the ambiance.

Flat screen TV’s with satellite TV and DVD are at your disposal.

The name “Skiblick” means ski view and as the name suggests the tow bars to the first piste can be seen from the house and they are a 5 minute walk. The main cable car station, with ski shop and school and bar is 7/8 minute walk.

Dachstein West ski paradise is one of Austria’s best kept secrets. It is not on the British Tour operator schedules and therefore there is a feel of how alpine skiing was before the masses arrived. It is very much a family orientated resort with an authentic Austrian feel to it. If you are looking for all night apres’ski then this is not for you. However, if you are looking for great scenic skiing with small lift queues, skiing through tree lined pistes then this is for you. It is also very accessible, being only 50 minutes drive from Salzburg airport.
Salzburg is readily accessible from UK airports throughout the winter. Ryan air fly everyday all year long from Stanstead.
The piste map will give you a flavour of the fantastic and extensive runs available, 140 km in total with 45 lifts. The view from the top is stunning.
As this will show the Dachstein provides skiing which links three alpine villages, Gosau, Annaberg and of course Russbach. You can ski between these and there is also a courtesy bus service. The cable car Station in Russbach has a Skistadl , selling and hiring boot/skis. The ski school is also based here.
There are various “hutte”, mountain gasthof’s, and snowbars on the pistes.
