| Well-appointed 30m2 apartment with 2 single beds in the bedroom and a comfortable and user-friendly double sofa bedin the living room. The kitchen/dining area is fully equipped with oven, hob, toaster, microwave, kettle and all the cooking/eating utensils you need. There is a four seat dining table and chairs, and the lounge has a dvd player and colour television. In the bathroom, there is a proper full length bath with shower attachment and curtain, and a toilet and basin. Critically, the hot water is supplied by the building, so a family of four can each enjoy a bath as hot as they can handle, one after the other. This we have found is a massive bonus after a day on the mountain! The apartment is carpeted throughout and centrally heated, yet light and airy if you want it to be. It faces south, and sports a balcony with views over the resort and surrounding ski area. |

| Located at the end of a dead-end corridor, so very little noise from passers-by, the apartment has a southerly outlook with views of the resort and surrounding peaks. The block is 300yds from the resort centre, yet located in such a way as to be isolated from outside bar noise etc. It is opposite one of the main chairlifts to the Cretes sector, which provides swift access to the heart of the ski area, whilst at the same time avoiding the queues of the main cable car. From either side of the valley it is possible to ski almost to the door (within 50yds). There is free parking either in the small car park at the front of the building or on the road. |

Les 2 Alpes is a lively resort which caters for all tastes in apres-ski, dining and all skiing/boarding abilities. L2A is by no means as unattractive as many French purpose-built resorts, being the second-oldest ski area in the French Alps (after Chamonix), and is a "real" town with a permanent resident population. This means that the resort is alive all year round, particularly in the summer, with numerous outdoor activities to choose from, including summer skiing on the Alp's largest skiable glacier. Beginners start on the nursery slopes adjacent to the town before progressing to the very top of the glacier to develop further. Intermediates have 220km of varying grades of piste to choose from, and for experts there is off-piste unrivalled in the Alps to be found in the La Grave sector and across the domain. The resort is an established favourite among snowboarders, with its numerous terrain parks and few draglifts. Snow is guaranteed from mid November to the beginning of May, since the majority of the ski area is above 2200m. The town itself lies at 1650m, and a network of snow cannons keep the home runs open early and late season. | |
